The group’s research interests are broad, centred around biogenic reefs. We use technology, computers and manipulative experiments to attempt to understand why amazing organisms form reefs and how this affects the local environment. We’ve been lucky enough to work in the deep sea off major ocean-going research vessels, and also unlucky enough to go out on fieldwork at 4am to catch the morning tide…
